Scott represents individuals, small businesses, large corporations, and real estate investment funds in commercial litigation, employment litigation, and real estate litigation. He counsels clients through all stages of litigation, including pre-suit risk management and assessment, drafting pleadings, coordinating discovery, drafting and arguing motions, drafting and arguing appeals, and negotiating favorable outcomes for clients.
In addition to his litigation practice, Scott has served as outside and in-house counsel to private equity groups and businesses of all sizes on general corporate matters, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate entity creation. Prior to joining Morgenstern DeVoesick, Scott served as general counsel to one of the largest minority-owned underground utility and civil construction firms in the Mid-Atlantic.
Scott received his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi legal honors society and majored in Applied Economics Management. He received his B.S. from Cornell University and earned All-Ivy recognition in football as an offensive lineman. Scott grew up in Fairport, where he lives with his wife, two children, and two dogs. In his spare time, Scott enjoys hunting, hiking, and skiing at Bristol Mountain with his family.
Scott is licensed to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia, his New York Bar admission is pending. Admissions to any specific Courts (i.e., Federal, Bankruptcy, etc): Federal – U.S. District Court – District of Maryland.
