Sam focuses his practice on residential and commercial real estate, and business representation.
Sam negotiates and drafts contracts and transaction documents, works to resolve title disputes, coordinates closings, and facilitates all other aspects of a real estate transaction. He works behind-the-scenes to streamline processes for clients and strives to create a smooth and efficient transaction from contract to closing.
Sam advises small- to mid-size businesses and their owners, working with both local start-ups and well-established companies. He assists clients with market and opportunity evaluation, business entity formation, raising capital, and drafting foundational business documents, including operating agreements, shareholder agreements, employment contracts, and product or service contracts. Sam assists businesses during transition periods by representing clients in asset and stock purchases and sales, as well as family businesses restructuring to coincide with estate planning strategies.
Sam graduated from Syracuse University College of Law Cum Laude, where he served as Business Editor of the Syracuse Law Review, and a member of the SU Law basketball team. Sam also received an M.B.A. from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. He and his wife, Paige, live in East Rochester, New York along with their dogs Luke and Todd. In his spare time, he enjoys backpacking in the Adirondacks, indoor rock climbing, running in 5K to Half Marathon distance events, and coaching youth wrestling in East Rochester.
