Omayra is a transactional attorney practing in the areas of residential real estate and estate planning. She is fluent in Spanish and regularly assists Spanish-speaking clients with their legal needs.
Omayara has experience handling all facets of residential real estate transactions. She assists clients to efficiently navigate the purchase or sale their home. She has experience drafting and negotiating contracts, reviewing and helping clients understand financing and mortgage documents, preparing and resolving title matters, and drafting real estate documents. She works closely with banks, attorneys, realtors, title companies, and loan officers to resolve title disputes or negotiate issues that might occur during a real estate transaction. She coordinates and attends closings for or with clients to ensure that the process is as smooth as possible.
Omayra also assists clients with their estate planning needs. She routinely prepares legal documents such as wills, health care proxies, and power of attorney documents. She leads clients through complicated family or financial situations by explaining each document’s legalities and helping them understand and decide which option works best for them.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. During her time at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, she worked as Research Assistant to the Dean focusing on Evidence Law as well as Authentication and Admission of Electronic Evidence. Omayra was editor of the Pangea International Law Journal and participated in both the Immigration and Labor Law Probonos. Currently, she lives with her fiancée, Mike, in East Irondequoit. During her spare time Omayra enjoys practicing yoga, attending musicals, and spending time with family and friends.
